Movie Review of The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra
The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra / written by, directed by, and starring Larry Blamire
Synopsis – A rare atmosphereum meteor falls to Earth, a couple of scientists and a couple of space aliens search for it, and a lost skeleton controls minds. Mixed in this goofy jumble is a transmutated Earth-animals-into-a-human alien and an mutant alien pet. SPOILERS The meteor is found, but at what cost to humanity?!?
Reaction – This is the campiest of all send-up movies! Stiff acting, stilted dialogue, and choppy editing all wrapped up in an implausible storyline. The kind of (deliberately) bad movie you'll want to watch again and again (if you're into that sort of thing). Lots of great one-liners, and a few awkward fight scenes that could double as awkward dance scenes with a bit of overdubbing. This movie gave me hope that SPOILERS maybe space aliens and humans really can get along.
Recommendation – Watch this send-up of 1950s sci-fi movies when you're in the mood for campy fun!
